Blocks dangerous users by detecting them through in-app pre-monitoring according to set criteria

Lockin Company (CEO: Myung-kyu Choi), a global mobile app security company, has registered a technology for ‘Method for Blocking Access by Threatening Users and Method for Applying Program Security’ with the Japan Patent Office. This patent registration is expected to be an important milestone for expanding into the global market as a result of Lockin Company’s innovative security technology being recognized internationally.

Lockin Company’s Japanese patent this time is a technology patent for a method for monitoring access to applications running on communication terminals such as smartphones and determining whether they are threatening and blocking or allowing normal execution. It is a technology that can be applied to all apps that require security, such as financial apps that require enhanced user authentication or game apps that require blocking of fraudulent users, as it can detect threat factors such as hacking in the app and block or allow access according to criteria set by the administrator.

Lockin Company, which has already completed the registration of the relevant patent in Korea in 2022, has applied the technology to its own developed service ‘Reapp’ and has provided advanced application security to not only domestic companies such as Kakao Games, KB Financial Group, Asiana Airlines, and Carrot, but also major Asian game publishers and global representative companies such as Indonesian state-owned banks. Lockin Company detects signs of illegal forgery and falsification of mobile apps through Reapp, blocks app execution at the source, and prevents theft of important information within apps, thereby contributing to data protection, legal issues, and customer trust for companies and customers around the world.

Lockin Company sees the Japanese security market as an attractive market, being 2-3 times larger than the Korean market and with a prominent movement toward digital transformation, and has been actively working to enter the Japanese market since last year. It is seeking additional business opportunities by establishing a Japanese homepage and forming partnerships with Japanese companies in various fields, including its existing Japanese client Line Games, and this patent registration is expected to be an important achievement in securing trust in Japan.

CEO Myung-gyu Choi said, “This Japanese patent registration has become an opportunity for Lockin Company to further expand its influence in the global market,” and added, “We will continue to protect and develop next-generation mobile security-related technologies and know-how through continuous research and development and patent acquisition to strengthen our competitiveness in the global market and provide the best security solutions.” In the meantime, in addition to this Japanese patent, Lockin Company has completed and is currently examining patents related to mobile app security in five countries, including Korea, the United States, China, Indonesia, and Singapore, including mobile security keypad-related technologies, and plans to accelerate the acquisition of global intellectual property rights. In order to expand its global network in earnest along with continuous technological innovation, it plans to establish cooperative relationships with various companies around the world and solidify its leading position in the mobile app security field.
