Full-scale Entry into the US Market with Core Security Technology of Mobile App Security Service ‘LIAPP’

Lockin Company (CEO Myung-gyu Choi), a global mobile app security company, announced on the 14th that a patent for the core security technology of the mobile app security service ‘LIAPP’ has been registered in the US, following Korea and Japan.

The patent is one of the core technologies related to the mobile app security service ‘LIAPP’, which automatically blocks users who pose a threat in the application. LIAPP is characterized by the fact that app managers can directly adjust the number of threat detections and blocking periods, allowing for efficient security management.

In the US market, each state has different security-related laws, and the number of things to consider for all companies handling personal information data in apps has increased exponentially. LIAPP’s real-time security adjustment technology is expected to be able to respond more flexibly to various security regulations in the US.

In particular, this patent-related function allows developers or operators to freely adjust the number of threat detections and blocking functions without having to reapply the reapp or redistribute the app to the Google Playstore or Appstore, which is expected to reduce operating costs and enable quick problem resolution for local app developers in the US, where rapid security response is important for the application of the ‘US Data Privacy Protection Act (ADPPA)’.

Currently, Lockin Company is meeting with various companies, focusing on finding local business partnerships and partners for market expansion in order to enter the US market based on the patented technology. Last month, it was named one of the ‘Top 10 Companies in the Mobile App Security Sector in 2024’ by the journal ‘APAC CIO Outlook’ headquartered in Silicon Valley, California, USA, and all of Lockin Company’s product lines, including the technology, were introduced in the renowned US cybersecurity journal ‘Cyber Defense Magazine’, highlighting its competitiveness in the mobile app security sector.

Choi Myung-gyu, CEO of Lockin Company, said, “We expect this global technology patent registration to be a strong foundation for entering the US market,” and added, “As inquiries are increasing not only in Korea but also in North and South America, we plan to provide customized solutions that meet the needs of local markets in the rapidly changing digital environment.” Meanwhile, Lockin Company is protecting more than 2,000 apps worldwide through its mobile app security service, Liapp, and is leading the way in continuous technological innovation and security product development by launching the mobile security keypad ‘LIKEY’ and the mobile app screen capture blocking service ‘LISS.’
