The mobile app security service ‘LIAPP’ launched by Lockin Company was recently designated as an ‘excellent information security technology and product’ by the Ministry of Science and ICT of Korea.

The designation system for information security technologies, etc. implemented by the Ministry of Science and ICT since 2018 has contributed to the fostering of the information security industry by discovering competitive new technologies of domestic information security venture companies and supporting promotion, overseas expansion, and research and development (R&D).

​The conditions for support in 2019 are information security venture companies that have been in business for less than 7 years, and out of a total of 11 excellent technologies and products, a total of 5 excellent technologies were designated through an examination of novelty, originality, and commercialization potential. The designated technologies will be supported with a designation letter in the name of the Minister of Science and ICT, a designation mark, R&D support funds, and sales channel development, facilities, and R&D linkage through startup support projects of the Ministry of Science and ICT and the Korea Internet & Security Agency.

Lockin Company's 'LIAPP' is an app protector that blocks mobile hacking, and safely protects apps by protecting important source codes, preventing hacking and core technology leaks, and blocking illegal modifications.

Lockin Company CEO Choi Myoung Kyu said, "The mobile field is a field where it is difficult to achieve results commensurate with effort without strong security. Lockin Company's top-level security technology based on its own expertise has been designated as an excellent technology by a nationally recognized institution. “We will take the lead in strengthening the competitiveness of the domestic mobile app industry and creating a safe mobile ecosystem by incorporating ‘LIAPP’ into various services,” he said.

Meanwhile, Lockin Company recently formed a business partnership with shared office company WeWork to provide ‘LIAPP’, a mobile security service that can be applied for by any WeWork member. Through this, Lockin Company plans to establish itself as a global mobile service company based on the high security and technological excellence of ‘LIAPP’.
