- Actively Promoting ‘LIAPP’ as the Optimal Security Solution for Mobile Environments
- Globally Competitive Application Security Solution Based on Full Source Code Encryption

Mobile security company Lockin Company (CEO Myoung Kyu Choi) announced that it will open a booth at the 2017 World IT Show (WIS) held at COEX in Seoul from Wednesday, the 24th to Saturday, the 27th, and showcase its application security solution.

The World IT Show is the largest domestic information and communication technology (ICT) exhibition hosted by the Ministry of Science, ICT and Future Planning. This year, under the theme of Transform Everything, domestic and international ICT companies related to △5th generation (5G) mobile communications, △Internet of Things (IoT), △Artificial Intelligence (AI), △Autonomous vehicles, △Virtual Reality and Augmented Reality (AR/VR), and △Big Data will participate to introduce cutting-edge technologies and products.

During this exhibition, Lockin Company plans to actively promote ‘LIAPP’ as the optimal security solution that easily blocks security threats and hacking for mobile applications.

LIAPP is an app security solution optimized for the mobile environment. Its characteristic is that it provides all the security functions necessary for application developers and service companies to operate apps through a single application.

It prevents technology leaks by encrypting the entire source code containing the app’s core information, and provides real-time anti-debugging, hacking tool detection, memory protection, and forgery/modification prevention while the app is running. It blocks hacking attempts in advance, such as library protection, game engine protection, and repackaging blocking, even when the app is not running. It is currently sold in the domestic, Cambodian, Chinese, and American app markets, proving its global competitiveness.

According to App Annie, an app research institute, smartphone users use more than 30 apps on average every month. This accounts for 35-50% of installed apps. The consumer tendency to manage their lives through apps is a general trend, and apps are becoming increasingly essential in many industries.

As the app industry is gaining attention as a market that creates new value worldwide, security threats targeting it have also increased. Security has emerged as an important topic as technology leaks and financial damages due to hacking continue to occur.

Lockin Company is developing and providing an app security solution, LIAPP, to protect apps from hacking and help with normal app operation. This is a method of applying security to completed apps rather than implementing security during the app development stage. The time required for security to be applied to the app is about 5 seconds, showing a fast speed. After security is applied, the app shows the same level of execution speed as before application, and it does not affect the execution of the app. It supports both Android and iOS as a single solution, and is receiving positive reviews from users in the market for its strong security and ease of use.

In 2016, the gaming sector showed the highest figure at 45% of the total, followed by finance at 30%, social and communication at 15%, and others at 10%. In addition to strong security, the official explained that it is receiving favorable responses for providing convenient and useful information from the user's perspective, such as immediate response to new hacking tools, provision of security setting modules, hacking attempt analysis data, and access statistics.

CEO Choi Myoung Kyu said, "Recently, there has been an increasing trend of simultaneously releasing apps in the domestic and global markets. Accordingly, interest in security solutions that can cover the global market has increased, but it is often difficult to provide security uniformly because market policies and technologies differ slightly in each country,” he said. “LIAPP is a product that has considered the global market from the development stage, and is currently being used in Southeast Asia, the United States, the Middle East, and Europe, and its global compatibility is being verified. Through this exhibition, we would like to actively present LIAPP as a security solution suitable for use by app developers or service companies aiming to expand overseas,” he said.
