Mobile security company Lockin Company CEO Myoung Kyu Choi presented a countermeasure against mobile app hacking at the ‘2nd Backend Club Technology Seminar’ held at Gyeonggi Content Korea Lab in Pangyo on the 22nd, under the theme of ‘Mobile App Hacking, Defending Without a Security Solution.’
Following the first technology seminar that received a lot of attention from mobile game developers last year, this year’s seminar was held with the theme of ‘A place to share technologies that can be used usefully in mobile app development and services’, targeting mobile app developers, server managers, and app service managers.
CEO Choi Myoung Kyu said, “The key points of application security are the client, which is the subject of information, the network, which is the medium for transmitting important information, and the server, which processes and stores important information.” He also said, “Hackers are skilled at finding values that app developers, service companies, and users cannot find, and they hack indiscriminately to exploit this.” He introduced the methods by which hackers attack apps and the latest hacking cases.
He continued, “Developers can prevent hacking without a security solution in app development and services. He emphasized the following: deleting important information and user information logs for the app to operate, encrypting important user information so that it cannot be reused on other devices, discarding used information as variables, prohibiting the use of important information on SD cards, and prohibiting the storage of important user information in files.
In addition to Lockin Company, this seminar included ▲Watap Labs CBO Shin Hyun-mook’s talk on performance issues in the development environment with the topic of MSA and DevOps, ▲Qbit Security CEO Shin Seung-min’s introduction of web hacking response techniques such as injection and web cell, and ▲Nettention CEO Bae Hyun-jik’s demonstration of how to find the cause of game server overload or lag without modifying the source code on the Windows server.
Participants in the seminar showed their interest and response to the seminar content by asking questions even during the presentation, and after the presentation, there was a Q&A session and individual networking between the presenter and participants so that additional information could be shared in the future.
Backend Club, which hosted the event, has been holding a free technology seminar every year since last year with four companies to inform the public of the information and technologies needed in the backend of development. An official explained that they are creating a roadmap to expand the participating companies in the future and create a space for information sharing where they can share and share more diverse technologies and increase competitiveness.
