iOS app security solutions ‘LIAPP Onsite’ and ‘LIAPP Business’ to be released
Security solution ‘LIAPP’ to provide iOS app security services for four products
Mobile security specialist Lockin Company (CEO Myoung Kyu Choi) announced that it is currently developing iOS support for its mobile app security solutions ‘LIAPP Onsite’ and ‘LIAPP Business’ and plans to provide iOS app security services for all products, including the two products currently supporting iOS, by the first half of the year.
The purpose of this development is to enable companies that are experiencing inconvenience in building and managing security servers for introducing iOS app security solutions to easily apply and manage application security in less than 5 seconds through the cloud without building additional servers.
Among the security solution products released by Lockin Company, ‘For Game’ and ‘For Enterprise’ provide iOS app security services, but recently, due to a surge in inquiries from companies about iOS app security, they decided to support iOS in two additional products. An official explained that they are accelerating development to provide iOS app security in the four products released within the first half of the year and to improve customer satisfaction with using Reapp through product advancement.
‘LIAPP Onsite’ and ‘LIAPP Business’ are SaaS-based application security solutions that further enhance security by encrypting key information in mobile apps, preventing key technology leaks and fundamentally blocking hacking attempts on apps.
The three technologies of application threat detection, application protection, and anti-hacking solutions that are currently commercialized are organically combined to complement each other’s vulnerabilities and perform efficient operations without technology duplication or conflict.
As hacking technology becomes more advanced, iOS, which was previously considered to have strong security, can no longer be considered safe. Security concerns are growing as iOS-related hacking cases are already occurring domestically and internationally. The game ‘Pokemon GO’, which recorded 500 million downloads worldwide, is also being distributed in an iOS cracked version. In particular, if an individual user downloads and uses an app that has been forged with malicious code, it can cause damage to the user, including having their smartphone infected with malicious code.
As the trend of simultaneously releasing developed apps on Android and iOS increases, the need for iOS app security is also increasing. Lockin Company explained that inquiries about iOS security increased more than threefold in 2016 compared to 2015, and that one out of three inquiries on average is about iOS app security. Currently, there are more than 2.2 million applications registered in the Apple Store.
Director Son Chung-won of Lockin Company
Director Son Chung-won of Lockin Company said, “Additionally, providing iOS app security in two products is one of the strategies to increase market satisfaction by supporting Android and iOS simultaneously with a single solution through the cloud,” and added, “We are currently conducting research and development to strengthen the security of Reapp in addition to iOS support, and are planning an update within the first half of the year.”
Meanwhile, Lockin Company’s app security solution Reapp provides technology to traditional industries such as finance, games, shopping, and education, as well as new technology industries such as IoT, wearables, and VR, and consists of four products: LIAPP Onsite, which is provided in a cloud manner, LIAPP Business, and LIAPP for Game and Reapp for Enterprise, which are built on servers.
