Mobile security specialist Lockin Company (CEO Choi Myoung Kyu, www.lockincomp.com)'s integrated security solution LIAPP's sales in the first half of 2016 grew 390% year-on-year. LIAPP is a security solution that provides all the security functions necessary for operating mobile applications. Considering that it has been less than two years since the product was released and that the market situation is not very security conscious about applications, this is a remarkable achievement.

The first half of the year’s ReApp sales composition was the highest at 45% in the gaming sector, followed by the financial sector at 30%, social and communication at 15%, and others at 10%. The combined sales composition of the gaming and financial sectors is a high percentage, accounting for 75% of the total.

The company analyzed that since the launch of LIAPP in October 2014, product inquiries and sales have been steadily increasing, and that specialized product groups such as the recently launched ‘LIAPP for Games’ and ‘LIAPP for Enterprise’, which is about to be officially launched, are expanding new sales in the financial and gaming sectors, which is the main reason for the increase in sales in the first half of the year.

The mobile game security solution ‘LIAPP for Games’ was launched in March. As damages due to mobile game hacking are rapidly increasing, contracts with mobile game developers who want to introduce security solutions are continuously being made. In particular, the immediate response to new hacking tools, provision of a security setting interface, and provision of analysis and statistical data are receiving great responses from customers.

Recently, domestic financial companies have been expanding their businesses to fintech and overseas mobile financial services, and are also expanding their security-related personnel and budgets. Lockin Company has developed a flexible and active security system that can set security settings according to security policies. The product’s advantage of being able to actively set security according to different security policies for each financial company and enabling strategic operation has been recognized, and inquiries about product technology from financial companies are continuing.

We are about to launch ‘LIAPP for Enterprise,’ a security solution specialized for corporations and the financial sector, and we plan to hold a demo day for fintech-related companies on the 19th. “We expect the financial sector to increase its sales composition in the second half,” he said.
