Lockin Company (CEO Choi Myoung Kyu) has entered the mobile app security solution ‘LIAPP (LOCKIN APP PROTECTOR)’. It is a cloud-based Android application (app) source code protection service launched in October of last year.
LIAPP provides security by encrypting the entire app source code, making it easy and fast. It prevents technology leaks from startups and companies that provide mobile apps. It supports stable business operations by blocking hacking and illegal modification. With confidence in its security technology, it recently signed up for ‘hacking damage insurance’. If a hacking problem occurs while a customer is using LIAPP, it will compensate up to 100 million won.
It designed a product that is suitable for the mobile environment, breaking away from the existing PC security structure. It applied source code encryption instead of simple word rearrangement obfuscation. It provides security functions in the form of software as a service (SaaS). If you upload an Android app package file (*.apk) to the LIAPP server, it will be applied within seconds with one click.
It blocks various actions that can occur in apps, such as memory modification, hacking, and debugging. It also provides game engine protection, virtual machine detection, and repackaging blocking functions. The execution time and performance before and after application of the app are the same. Files that have completed protection measures are immediately deleted without leaving them on the server.

“Although mobile games have grown to the point where they are comparable in popularity to PC games, mobile security solutions that protect important customer information and intellectual property rights have been limited to PC security products converted to mobile. The security solution that we conceived to create a product that does not exist on the market is ‘LIAPP.’”
Choi Myoung Kyu, CEO of Lockin Company, worked as a game hacking defense manager at a large game company before founding the company. He experienced great difficulties with smartphone services due to illegal access and hacking. He jumped into developing a security solution for smartphone games himself.
CEO Choi judged that ‘obfuscation,’ which rearranges the game app source code, was not enough to provide sufficient protection. He said that the source code itself should be encrypted to prevent hacking at the source. It can be applied to various Android mobile apps such as financial transactions and corporate use, as well as games.
First, we will focus on the domestic market and carry out various marketing activities. The strategy is to establish a foundation in Korea, where mobile infrastructure is good and smartphone penetration is high, and then attack overseas markets. We have secured customers in various fields such as games, finance, and general companies.
CEO Choi said, “We have achieved visible order performance by developing products that meet market demands,” and “We have received favorable reviews for making it easy for app developers to apply security solutions to the mobile environment with a short life cycle.” This year, we are refining our LIAPP product line based on specialized functions. We are preparing ‘Reapp for Business’ for public institutions and companies, ‘LIAPP for Games’ specialized for mobile games, and ‘LIAPP for Enterprise’ specialized for large corporations and the financial sector. Our goal is to become a ‘mobile specialized company’ that provides all the security solutions needed for mobile beyond simple mobile app protection.
