Mobile security specialist Lockincomp (CEO Myoung Kyu Choi, www.lockincomp.com) announced on the 13th that it is holding an event called ‘Cheer Up, Startup! Season 2’ where it will provide the mobile app security solution ‘LIAPP (LOCKIN APP PROTECTOR, LIAPP)’ for free to startups and mobile app developers. This event was planned based on the active response of the first group of prosumers who were concerned about the source code leak of the application (hereinafter referred to as the app) they had worked hard to develop in Season 1. Season 2 plans to significantly increase the number of participants and continue the win-win path with startups by applying Lockin Company's flagship product, Liapp.
'Cheer Up, Startup! Season 2' is an event that provides free use of 'LIAPP (LOCKIN APP PROTECTOR, LIAPP)' and various benefits to individuals or startup companies developing Android mobile apps. This event, which was first held last year, was planned for startups and individual developers who are unable to find appropriate security methods in a situation where more than 90% of Android apps are exposed to hacking threats, resulting in information leaks and financial losses. Applicants who are selected through a separate screening process are selected as the second group of prosumers of 'Cheer Up, Startup! Season 2' and can receive 3 months of free use of LIAPP, stability and compatibility verification services for each operating system (OS) version and device, and 24-hour support services via email, messenger, KakaoTalk, etc., all for free.
The LiApp product provided to the selected 2nd batch of prosumers this time has more powerful and stable mobile app security features, such as improved stability of Android 6.0 64-bit terminals and support for APIs of the Marshmallow version. It also provides a more convenient security control function by providing a sophisticated and intuitive hacking statistics screen for each app. LiApp protects apps in a cloud manner by simply uploading the package file (*.apk) of the Android app to the LiApp site (liapp.lockincomp.com/), and downloading the package file with source code protection applied in a few seconds. LiApp blocks all hacking actions that can occur in the app, such as memory modification, hacking, and debugging, and also provides game engine protection, virtual machine detection, and repackaging blocking functions. The execution time and performance before and after application of the app are guaranteed to be the same, and files that have been protected are immediately deleted without leaving them on the server.
Various events will also be held at this event to celebrate the completion of Season 1 and Season 2. The recommendation event, ‘Let’s go to Gangnam with a friend’, will provide an additional free service period to both the recommender and the recommended person if you recommend someone you want to use the Reapp with when applying for the second round. There will also be a SNS sharing event. Just share the event post saying ‘Tell them I like you~’ and leave a related comment on the event post. The event will be held from the 13th to the 31st after a certain review period, and Season 2 will officially start on February 1st. Choi Myoung Kyu, CEO of Lockin Company, said, “For startups that start businesses based on mobile, such as O2O (Online To Offline) service businesses, the threat of hacking against mobile apps, which are no exaggeration to say their entire assets, is increasing, so security measures are urgently needed,” and added, “As a mobile security startup, we will continue to strengthen mutually beneficial cooperation through continuous events that protect the intellectual property rights of startups.”
